During its 2009 election campaign, the Queensland Government committed $5.8 million over three years to expand the number of environmentally sustainable Earth Smart Science (ESS)  schools to 1000. The ESS program IMG 2068 199x300 Earth Smart Scienceencourages a whole-of-school approach to environmental footprint reduction through reflection and goal setting in the areas of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, Management of School Grounds, Resource Management, School and Community Partnerships and Integrated Whole School Planning.

  • 3 Days of TRS funding are provided by us to complete the deliverables (see below);

 What are the core deliverables for ESS

  1.  Complete the Indicators for a Sustainable School;
  2. Complete a draft SEMP document using the QLD Sustainable Schools Website (QSS);
  3.  Track utilities use through the Resource Use Monitoring Tool.
