Throughout the year our ‘Artist in Residence’ program offers a range of workshops to selected year 6 & 7 students of local schools as negotiated through the PEEC and school principals. These visual or performing arts workshops are specifically designed to achieve a deeper engagement and sense of connectedness to themselves, others and place for middle years school students. During these workshops students have dedicated time, space, resources, specialist instruction and immersion in the processes of the specific arts-based mediums of dance, drama, singing and/or visual arts. Artist in Residence programs address the Australian Curriculum Cross-Curriculum priority of Sustainability and support the developmet of the General capabilities.
Each program is different in terms of the artist discipline or media.
